Challenges in recruitment in pediatric clinical trials

Besides conducting studies with the adult population, at Althian we also have experience with the pediatric population. This population in particular represents many challenges, from the ethical point of view to all the operational aspects of the study.

Our staff takes into account several points when planning the recruitment of these studies, such as inclusion and exclusion criteria, demographics and physician-parent communication. We deeply involve the principal investigator in this process, so this gives the parents and caregivers more confidence that their children are being cared for.
